VVM-SPC is an initiative of Science India Forum in collaboration with Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), NCERT, and the National Council of Science Museums. It popularizes science among students of standards VI to XI and aims to identify young scientific minds with strong aptitude.
GCC students may be eligible to compete in both the GCC Zone and National Zone (Himalayan), subject to VVM terms and conditions for international participation.
Organized in association with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, this initiative encourages children to learn science by doing. Schools following the Indian syllabus in Oman can send a maximum of four teams/projects, two each from Junior and Senior categories.

Completed research projects will be exhibited and evaluated during Oman Student’s Innovation Congress (OSIC). Selected projects will be screened by eminent judges and submitted for consideration to participate in the National Children Science Congress.
There will be no fee for participation in the OSIC program in Bahrain. The cost of travel to India has to be borne by the participant or school. The team leader of the winning team should be willing to travel to India for the five-day National Children’s Science Congress event.
Guidelines for schools, science coordinators, project guides, and participating student teams.
Project Guides and Science Coordinators should encourage children to take up topics with enough scope for simple experimentation and surveys.
Assessments and conclusions in BSIC should be backed by data and observations, ideally from a combination of experiments and surveys.
Projects should not depend too much on surveys alone.
NCSC detailed activity guide should be taken as a reference for theme and sub-theme details.
Team selection is done exclusively through schools. Interested students should download the research activity guide with detailed terms and conditions, theme description, and sample project report.
Interactive workshops designed to support students and educators through science learning and engagement.
Programs focused on helping educators stay future ready through updated content knowledge and modern teaching techniques.
